Our Team
Pierre Downing
Director
After collecting, buying and selling antiques for over 30 years the Antique Shop was created. Im also an avid stamp and coin collector. Besides Antiques I do some design and photography. I also run some facebook groups including NZ Antiques and NZ Stamps and working on my own T-Shirt selling website Giftees.online which keeps me very busy.
Jude Symons
Director
Jude is an investor in the business and also loves buying antiques. She has a keen eye on Art and often brings in amazing pieces. Jude also loves animals and has a dog called Louie and cats named Annie, Felix and Casper.
Louie
Security
Jude’s right-hand man and trusted sidekick, Louie is an awesome security guard and always runs to the door barking whenever the door buzzer is pressed or if he hears something outside, but don’t worry if you plan to visit, after the initial bark he then rolls over and insists on his tummy being scratched.
Sylvester
The Boss!
The owner of the business – always walking around talking lots and issuing orders, keeps everyone in order except Louie. Quite often found asleep on or in one of the antique cabinets. He’s always trying to help however sometimes can bring in and let go of mice in the shop which isn’t really helping.
