We provide worldwide postage/shipping and everything is fully tracked and insured. We deliver to the address provided at the time of purchase but not to PO addresses, as a signature is required upon delivery.

Some countries levy import duties and local taxes. Payment of these is the purchaser’s responsibility and beyond the control of The Antique Shop. When the container/parcel has reached the destination country, a customs representative will contact you for payment prior to delivery.

Import restrictions are applicable to some destinations, especially the import of products containing materials such as ivory and tortoiseshell. We cannot accept orders requiring shipment to any countries which implement such controls.

All items are checked and photographed prior to packaging, and we aim to dispatch 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment.

Oversize Shipped Items Class

For larger items we can offer postage via airways or shipped on water options (water is approx. half the price of air travel but approx. 3 times more the time needed for your parcel to be delivered, but we fully insure – take photos prior to dispatching and we track the items alongside yourself – please enquire (postage@antiqueshop.co.nz) stating which service you would prefer and we can a provide you with the shipping details and cost.

For rest of the world destinations not listed above we recommend enquiring with us (postage@antiqueshop.co.nz)before purchasing and we can organize a quote for you, we can also look at taxes and levee costs based on your location. We aim to reply to you within 24 to 48 hours.

All our smaller parcels are sent in waterproof bags, with our boxes also having waterproof bags inside over the products, we don’t shy away from packaging materials either as we know this is hugely important to our customers.

The charges are subject to change and are estimates only. Shipping is calculated at checkout and considers weight and packaging. Once order is processed we may contact you with additional shipping costs.

Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking

You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours of your item being posted.

Restricted Materials (CITES)

Some items listed on The Antique Shop may contain materials that are subject to a set of regulations known as CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), which ensures that the international trade of certain wild animals and plants doesn’t endanger their survival. This includes materials like rosewood, alligator leather and coral. Shipping across international borders may delay the delivery of your purchase if it includes any of the materials listed here. Please expect a 6-8 week delay to account for the time it takes for the seller to obtain any required permits in addition to the listed shipping and handling time.
